Testimonial:

I wanted to let you know that your Focused Parent Coaching program was so beneficial to me and my husband that we will soon be signing up for more coaching sessions with you.  We have three toddlers/pre-schoolers, who by nature are a challenge, but one particularly challenging child.  We were facing the very first day of pre-school (and first time away from us or my nanny, ever) and phasing out the pacifier, two very stressful events for me.  I began searching for someone to discuss these issues with at-length who has expertise and experience in child behavior and psychology, because I didn’t feel that my more-challenging child could handle the “normal” ways that these issues/milestones are dealt with.  You took the time to learn about my children and us, as parents, and gave us some very effective guidance on initiating these transitions.

You also gave us some extremely useful guidance on making our three children feel special as individuals, and that paid immediate dividends in reducing sibling rivalry and boosting their confidence and independence.  My husband would retreat from the “heated” parenting moments as he didn’t know how to handle them, which left me alone to deal with them.  He was raised with pretty severe physical punishment, so unfortunately physical punishment is his first instinct, but he chooses not to parent like that, so he removed himself from the heated situation entirely.  You have given him tools to call upon in those heated moments and he has had success with them, and as a result, he is stepping in more often to help me diffuse a dicey situation and turn them into teaching moments and opportunities to bond with the kids.  He and I are both more confident and relaxed and that is being felt and enjoyed by the entire household.
